Routes to Roots is a six month project taking jazz music education to South London schools. Involving jazz workshops, sharing days and public performances, Routes to Roots also offers an opportunity for the young people involved to become members of the Tomorrow’s Warriors youth program at Southbank Centre.
The two final events take place in July featuring the four school bands who will be demonstrating just what they’ve learnt over the past six months. The bands come from Charles Edward Brooke School, Lambeth; Kingsdale Foundation School, Southwark; Forest Hill Boys School, Lewisham; St. Thomas the Apostle College, Southwark.
