Battersea Power Station's swan song
Stunning swansong: Battersea Power Station lit up for the Evening Standard event, the last to be staged there before it undergoes its radical refurbishment (Picture: Alex Lentati) – courtesy of Evening Standard

Our directors, Gary Crosby and Janine Irons, along with members of our development and learning teams, and guests had a fantastic night at the Evening Standard’s The Power 1000: London’s Most Influential party where young jazz musicians from Tomorrow’s Warriors were the power behind the music that filled the huge tent inside the iconic Battersea Power Station.

Massive thanks to our dazzling musicians for the great music – Peter Edwards (piano/leader), Nubya Garcia (sax), Joe Linton (trumpet), Jamie Benzies (double bass), and Patrick Boyle (drums) – and to all of our guests for joining us at the party.

We were delighted to see Gillian Moore (Head of Classical Music at Southbank Centre) on the list again! Want to know who else is on it?

Inside Battersea Power Station at the Evening Standard’s Power 1000 Party – the last party before the venue is transformed into a residential/office complex. Apparently, if you’re quick, you can still bag a penthouse apartment off-plan (that’s if you’ve got about £10m to spare…!)
