International Women’s Day: Simply Spectacular!

Tomorrow’s Warriors is incredibly proud to mark International Women’s Day with a headline concert in the Royal Festival Hall. Our Nu Civilisation Orchestra, conducted by Peter Edwards will host a spectacular, star-studded line-up of phenomenal women performing specially-commissioned arrangements of Joni Mitchell’s modern day classic: HEJIRA.

Blending folk, jazz and pop influences, Hejira uses the Prophet Muhammad’s Hijra as a jumping-off point to tell stories of personal journeys, figuratively and literally, and this set of shimmering new arrangements from our alumni composers Cassie Kinoshi, Max de Lucia and the band’s musical director, Peter Edwards gives each of our special guests a fresh path on which to travel, with the freedom to bring their unique personalities to Mitchell’s classic songs.
