We are immensely proud to share news that Tomorrow’s Warriors founder and artistic director, Gary Crosby OBE is to be honoured by the British Association of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) with a Gold Badge Award.

The 44th Gold Badge Awards are presented by BASCA and sponsored by PPL and PRS for Music. The awards celebrate the unique contributions of twelve very special individuals who have supported or inspired the UK songwriting and composing community.

Gary is joined by jazz composer, Mike Gibbs; artist/songwriter, Emeli Sandé MBE; music publisher, Paulette Long OBE; and Susanna Eastburn, CEO of Sound And Music and other eminent people who have championed new music.

BASCA Chairman Crispin Hunt, said: “Music is rarely created only by Musicians, just as Musicians rarely create only Music. At the 2017 Gold Badge Awards, BASCA is honoured to recognise these exceptional individuals whose talent, taste, protection and purpose is an inspiration to all in British Music writing and whose unique contribution to British Music deserves to be celebrated.”

Gary and his partner, our CEO, Janine Irons MBE will attend the 2017 Gold Badge Awards lunch on Monday 2nd October 2017 at the Savoy hotel in London hosted by hosted by Guy Fletcher OBE.

  1. So well deserved, congratulations Gary but what must be even better than medals is to see so many wonderful young musicians setting out on their careers and achieving things which would not have been possible without Gary.

    1. Thanks for your kind words! You’re absolutely right. No amount of medals or awards can make our hearts beat faster and louder than when we see each new cohort stepping out boldly and confidently into the big, wide, exciting world of JAZZ! We’re so incredibly proud of Gary. He’s a very special, very unique individual.

  2. Well done Gary. This is excellent news and inspires the next generation of jazz musicians. Hearty congratulations sir!
