Jam with the greats and your mates. This August join TW for twelve days of online instrumental masterclasses, jazz hangs, Q&As and skill-up sessions on essentials from composition to music business, all completely FREE.
We’re inviting musicians aged 11-25 pursuing a career in music or further jazz study to apply. Applications are open to Warriors and those from diverse backgrounds from across the UK, but spaces are limited. The deadline to apply is Wednesday 5 August.

Ever wondered how to make your own beats? This is the session for you. It will cover everything from recording into a DAW to how to incorporate jazz into your beats. Definitely not one to miss.
Junior Warriors with Dian Gasper
This is for budding Warriors aged 11 – 15 who are curious about jazz. This is a taster of our regular Saturday class, so come along and join the family!
Arranging & Orchestration with Peter Edwards
This session will focus on comparing small band, studio big band and live big band versions of ‘Roy Allan’. Trumpeter Roy Hargrove originally recorded this composition for jazz quintet on his 1995 album ‘Family’. 14 years later he arranged the tune for big band on his studio album ‘Emergence’. This session will look at the structure of the original recording for small band and highlight the arranging and orchestration skills that are required to craft the version for an 18 piece ensemble. We will also consider the practical differences between a studio recording and a live performance, plus Q&A!
