Tomorrow’s Warriors is expanding. We are looking for a Head of Learning.
Established in 1991, Tomorrow’s Warriors is an award-winning live music/creative producer and leading provider of music education and professional development with an enviable track record of success over 25 years working nationally and internationally with some of the most exciting, most diverse new, emerging and established jazz artists in the UK.
Led by our award-winning Founders – artistic director, Gary Crosby OBE and chief executive, Janine Irons MBE FRSA – we create and produce a diverse annual programme ranging from concerts and tours for established professional bands/orchestras to workshops and showcases for young musicians in partnership with an extensive network of local, national and international arts/educational organisations, commercial producers, venues, promoters and festivals.

We have been a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO, previously RFO) of Arts Council England since 1999, and are committed to developing diverse artists and audiences.
Both our Founders have received public honours from HM The Queen, with Gary Crosby awarded for Services to Jazz, and Janine Irons for Services to the Music Industry. In addition to several awards as a band leader, Gary Crosby has been honoured with the BBC Award for Services to Jazz (2007) and the All Party Parliamentary Award for Jazz Education (2012). And, in 2017, Tomorrow’s Warriors was the recipient of the All Party Parliamentary Award for Jazz Education.

Head of Learning
- Salary £30,000 – £35,000 (pro rata) per year
- 4 days a week
- Based in Harrow, though travel throughout London and the UK will be required

This a management role for a capable and experienced manager, You will be responsible for managing and growing a pioneering learning and development programme working with the SMT, to deliver an existing programme of learning, development and performance opportunities. You will manage freelance musicians, contractors and work with a creative multi-disciplinary team towards growing a programme that supports young jazz musicians to grow and excel.
You should be an experienced manager with good knowledge of music education, charity fundraising and financial acumen. Candidates should be brilliant at multi tasking, good team players with a passion for music and empathy with our mission and vision. Full details of the role are available in the application pack.
