Each of our cohorts reveals a new generation of rising stars. This is what makes Tomorrow’s Warriors so exciting!

Over the course of your participation in our programmes, and as part of your progression, you may be invited with other members to form one of our core TW ensembles or to join one of our existing bands.

Since inception, we have been proud and privileged to have brought together some of the most fantastic young musicians in the UK, helping them to develop, launch and establish award-winning ensembles.

Our support in the infancy stage of their careers has helped fast-track the careers of some notable artists and bands – Gary Crosby’s Nu TroopJ-LifeDenys Baptiste Quartet, Robert Mitchell’s PanaceaSoweto Kinch Quartet, Andrew McCormack TrioAbram Wilson Sextet, EmpiricalRhythmica and, more recently, Ezra and Nérija to name just a few! – all of whom have brought diversity and richness to our cultural life in the UK and, in many cases, the international jazz scene.

  1. I have checked out your website and this looks like a wonderful scene but it appears to be youth-orientated. I am now 65 years old and have been playing jazz guitar since I was 15 years old – Am I too old to be invited to join in here ?

    1. Hi Bernie

Thanks for getting in touch. You’re right, we do have a primary focus on young musicians so, sadly, we cannot invite you to join Tomorrow’s Warriors. However, this should not preclude you from engaging with our activities as a member of the audience. Our young people undertake a number of fantastic performance throughout the year that we’d love you to come to see and support. We’re certain, as a more experienced musician, you’d enjoy seeing the young musicians develop their chops.

We’d obviously love to be able to cater for everyone but, unfortunately, being a tiny organisation, it’s just not possible for us. So sorry, but please do stay in touch with what we’re doing, and hopefully we’ll see you at one of our shows. Best wishes for an enjoyable weekend.
