YAY! The Tomorrow’s Warriors Jazz Jam is back! This time at Rich Mix in East London. Jazz musicians should be seen and heard, and the jazz jam is the perfect environment for this to happen!

Over more than two decades Tomorrow’s Warriors has proved a hothouse for new jazz talent, with its artists and bands winning over 50 awards between them. Graduates of our development programmes – Byron Wallen, Jason Yarde, Denys Baptiste, Soweto Kinch, Andrew McCormack, Shabaka Hutchings and Sons of Kemet, Eska, Zara McFarlane, Nathaniel Facey, Peter Edwards, Binker & Moses, Nubya Garcia, Femi Koleoso and Ezra Collective, Cassie Kinoshi, Sheila Maurice-Grey and Nérija (to name just a few!) – are pursuing successful careers as leaders while others have gone on to tour with international acts such as Rudimental (Mark Crown), Skatalites (Zem Audu), Zero 7 (Tom Skinner), Laura Mvula (Karl Rasheed-Abel, Troy Miller) and Adele (Pete Randall).
So the Tomorrow’s Warriors jam really is the place to see and play alongside some of the most exciting emerging young artists in the UK right now!
Musicians: Bring your instrument…and yes, we absolutely do consider voice as an instrument, so vocalists are welcome! We’ll provide the PA, the drum kit, a double bass, a piano and a fantastic house band. After a short set from the Warriors, there will be opportunities for musicians and vocalists to join in the jam. Come check it out. You’ve nothing to lose as it’s 100% £FREE to take part and to watch, although we do ask audience members to make a suggested donation of £5 to our charity but this is on a completely voluntary basis.
Audience: Bring yourselves, and bring some friends with you! It’s tough being a young musician, and so you can help by being a supportive, listening and appreciative audience! Come along…it’s completely £FREE for you too!
Next jam sessions in 2019:

We recommend a minimum level of Grade 5 for musicians wishing to take part in the jam, though you absolutely don’t need to have taken any music exams, so don’t worry if you haven’t!
That’s it! If you have any questions, please do feel free to drop us a line using via the Contact Us page and we’ll do our best to help. Meantime, we hope to see you at a jam real soon!
