Tomorrow’s Warriors Co-founder and CEO Janine Irons OBE was invited by Adobe to speak at its inaugural International Women’s Day event held on Thursday 6th March at the Bankside Hotel Autograph Collection, London.
Titled ‘International Women’s Day: Change Makers’, the event was an energising and empowering day of talks, led by some incredible women leaders, founders and changemakers across industries, all hosted by the inspirational broadcaster, diversity champion and author June Sarpong.

Janine spoke on the Creative Differences panel, expertly hosted by Claire Darley, Adobe’s Vice President, Go to Market. The theme of the panel focussed on debunking the gender creativity myth and sharing experiences, with Janine speaking alongside fellow panellist Isobel Perl, entrepreneur, and founder of Perl Cosmetics.
The wide ranging and inspirational discussion saw Janine talk about her journey, the difficulties, and barriers she faced as a woman working in finance in the City of London, how she came to work in music and the origin story of Tomorrow’s Warriors – why it exists and the vital work the organisation does with young Black musicians and girls, with real stories of resilience and determination.
During the post event reception an all-female Tomorrow’s Warriors trio featuring Emily Tran (keys), Maddy Coombs (sax), and Genevieve Namazzi (upright bass) delighted the delegates with a wonderful set of live music.

Big thanks to Adobe, it was a wonderful day packed with powerful stories and experiences shared by female leaders from the corporate and creative sectors. There were some wonderful male allies in the room too, leaving a strong sense of overcoming expectations, hurdles and more.
We hope that this is the first of many Adobe IWD events to come, with the aim to accelerate action towards gender parity, in the belief that change is possible!
