Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Nathaniel Facey – alumnus and now inspirational faculty member of Tomorrow’s Warriors – on winning UK Instrumentalist of the Year in last night’s Jazz FM Awards. We’re all very proud of you!
Nathaniel is a ‘graduate’ of the Tomorrow’s Warriors development programme who went on to form the award-winning ensemble, Empirical with other TW alumni including the fabulous drummer, Shaney Forbes. Since October 2012, when we launched our new and improved Young Artist Development Programme as part of our Tomorrow’s Warriors at Southbank Centre residency, Nathaniel has been an inspirational member of our music leader faculty and brilliant mentor for our Youth Warriors development group.
He is an outstanding saxophonist and composer, a fantastic role model for our young musicians, and a truly wonderful person with a beautiful, generous spirit.
So, WELL DONE Nathaniel, and thank you for giving all of us good reason to be proud today!
