We had the most FANTASTIC time in Truro on Saturday (18 Jan) when we presented Denys Baptiste‘s powerful Now Is The Time…Let Freedom Ring! at Hall for Cornwall. What a beautiful venue, and such friendly, helpful venue staff.

We also worked with a brilliant new choir, the Falmouth Community Gospel Choir who sang so beautifully and clearly had a spectacular time if their Facebook post is anything to go by:

A huge thank you goes out to Denys Baptiste and all the members of the Now is the Time Tour.. Let Freedom Ring! Fantastic musicians and truly lovely people to work with. A real privilege for us to be invited to take part in your concert. A very inspired event. FCGC here for you when you come back 🙂

Honestly, ladies and gents, you sounded amazing and the impact was awesome. Please do keep on keeping on! We want to come back to work with you again in the future!

A Special Show

This was a particularly special show as it was the final date in the current Now Is The Time…Let Freedom Ring! tour. Great to go out on such a corker! And oh boy, there were plenty of corks popping at the after-party with the band and choir celebrating with a glass (or two, or three, or…er, four!) of Prosecco.

It has been our absolute joy and pleasure to produce Denys’ tour and to work with such a wonderful group of musicians, crew and support team. Now Is The Time…Let Freedom Ring! is an important work in the British jazz canon and we feel certain it will endure long after the tour is over (Let Freedom Ring! is already 10 years old yet still sounds as fresh and relevant as it did back then).

Next stop for this show is Cheltenham Jazz Festival on Saturday 3 May at 3.45pm – stick a note in your diary!
