Tomorrow’s Warriors Presents Live at the Albany with KOMA
Tomorrow’s Warriors presents: Live at the Albany continues and playing the last of the digital showcases will be exciting London 6 piece KOMA, who will be playing four fresh and original compositions developed by the band, from mysterious and moody jazz to upbeat saxophone-driven melodies and Latin-influenced piano.
KOMA is a London based jazz collective comprised of 6 musicians with their own individual voices, coming together to create a unique sound in jazz. Now studying at some of the top conservatoires in the country, KOMA are continuing to push the boundaries of their sound, blending musical styles and influences from all backgrounds. The name KOMA is is derived from the Japanese word Komorebi which refers to the interplay between sunlight and the leaves of trees. This somewhat poetic imagery symbolises the beauty in something so often taken for granted for its simplicity. This is something KOMA strive to convey through their music every time they play.
TUNE IN SUNDAY 6th JUNE at 7:30PM, to see Warriors: Blake Cascoe (drums), Donovan Haffner (alto sax), Grifton Forbes-Amos (trumpet), Francisco Garcia de Parédès (guitar), Louis Sills-Clare (bass), and Laurie Milton (keys).
