Gary and Janine were so honoured and humbled to receive the prestigious Inspiration Award from the MPG Awards this year.

Gary and Janine said:
“We are so honoured and humbled to receive the Inspiration Award from the MPG Awards in this, our extra-special 30th anniversary year. Over the past three decades, we have been dedicated to developing and supporting diverse talent and championing musical excellence on their artistic journey into the music industry, so it means a lot to receive this incredible recognition from an organisation we so hugely respect and admire. Thank you MPG!”

Here’s what MPG said:

“We’re delighted and proud to announce the winners of the MPG Inspiration Award supported by Audio Note (UK) Ltd are Gary Crosby and Janine Irons of Tomorrow’s Warriors.

Tomorrow’s Warriors helps aspiring young artists, with a focus on black and female musicians and those from challenging socio economic backgrounds discover their magic and achieve creative ambitions. Across 30 years through their base at the Southbank they’ve provided a platform for the likes of Moses Boyd, Nubya Garcia, Ezra Collective, Shabaka Hutchings and many more to develop as artists.

A pivotal organisation in developing and elevating young talents, the UK jazz scene would look a whole lot different without the impact of Gary and Janine, and Tomorrow’s Warriors.

A fully deserved award, congratulations!”
