We have great pleasure in announcing that label boss and music industry consultant Nicky O’Donnell is joining our Board of Trustees.

Nicky is a respected figure in the music industry, having been associated with World Circuit Records with her partner Nick Gold, for more than 25 years. In her various roles from Art Director to Strategic Consultant, Nicky has had the honour of working with incredible musicians including stars of the Buena Vista Social Club, Malian vocalist Oumou Sangare and the late great Pee Wee Ellis. She was also responsible for introducing British Jamaican Jazz luminary Andy Hamilton to the label during her time at the Soho Jazz Festival, which led to his award-winning recordings. As well as working with music, Nicky has a broad experience across dance, literature and community festivals following years working at Southbank Centre.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Nicky O’Donnell to our board of Trustees. With over twenty five years in a leadership role at World Circuit Records and through her work in the music industry and the arts, Nicky will be a great asset to the organisation, as she brings her energy and incredible track record of business acumen, leadership and creativity to the Tomorrow’s Warriors board.”

CEO and Co-Founder, Tomorrow’s Warriors

“My own career in the arts was inspired by being a part of Greenwich Young People’s Theatre, affirming that young people from all backgrounds deserve the chance to participate in creative activity outside school. That supportive creative environment changed my life and I’m keen to be able to contribute to an organisation with similar values, offering opportunities to a new generation. Jazz has been the soundtrack of my life, from listening to Jazz Record Requests with my dad, dancing at The Wag, to appreciating the greats at major concert halls whilst working for Serious. This breadth of expression is what I hear from the talent of Tomorrow’s Warriors and I look forward to joining the board and supporting the amazing team that make a difference to the next generation of jazz musicians week in, week out.”
