Tomorrow’s Warriors is part of the Big Give Arts For Impact campaign launching on 19 March 2024.
We need to raise £5,000 to support our Summer Runnings programme to provide 2 weeks of £FREE music workshops during the summer holidays for young musicians led by leading jazz artists and music industry professionals
Big Give have confirmed a match funding pot of £2,500 so we need to raise £2,500 from the public in just 7 days (19-26 March) to secure all the match funding.
Not only will your donation be matched by Big Give, DOUBLING THE IMPACT of every £ you donate, but every donor to the campaign will be eligible to be entered into a prize draw to win 2 x Brick Lane Jazz Festival weekend passes plus some fantastic merch.
Keep a look out for our campaign going live alert.
Without your support we won’t be able to offer 2 weeks of incredible music masterclasses, industry workshops, and jams to 120+ young black and female musicians and those who come from challenging circumstances.
Cuts to music education in schools have already had a dramatic effect on who is able to afford to access tuition. Now, with increasing financial pressure on Local Authorities, youth services and cultural spending budgets are also facing massive cuts or are being shelved in their entirety.
Those feeling the greatest impact from these cuts most are the young people, who have nowhere to go to pursue their passion. It’s even more stark for those from disadvantaged backgrounds facing inequity in access to music education.
Summer Runnings is more than just a summer school. Bridging critical gaps in education, cultural, and youth services provision, Summer Runnings is a youth club for young jazz musicians, creating creating a safe and fun space where they can receive outstanding quality jazz tuition from leading professionals, build confidence and gain transferable skills.
Summer Runnings is there to create a community for young musicians that is inspiring and life enhancing, and we need your support to do that.
