Heading back to We Out Here Festival to host the Tomorrow’s Warriors Big Top for a second year, there was a huge buzz of expectation throughout the TW Team. Warriors have been involved at We Out Here since it began back in 2019, and being part of a festival that brings together such an amazing crowd is always an amazing highlight of our year.

And this year, across all four days of the festival, the Big Top stage bounced to the incredible talent and musicianship of five of our Warriors’ development ensembles, three jam sessions, and sixteen bands led by our Emerging Artists. Of those bands led by Tomorrow’s Warriors Emerging Artists, 69% were female led and 63% were led by Global Majority musicians.

The development ensembles on stage this year were truly inspiring. From our in-house Young Artist Development Programme musicians in the TW Youth Ensemble and Big Band, the exciting new line-up of BXL x LDN Interplay, the second instalment of our collaboration with Brosella Festival in Brussels, to the high octane GS Collective born out of our Grime Supreme outreach programme in partnership with the Music Works in Gloucester, we saw the breadth impact and energy that creating performance opportunities can bring.

Once again, this year We Out Here proved why it is such a unique festival and our thanks goes out to the whole team that organise and deliver this beautiful event.

And huge thanks and love to all the musicians who shone so bright on the stage, and to the wonderful crowds that bought the vibe with them to the Big Top. This is a truly special weekend and we’re already counting down to 2026!

“Attending a Tomorrow’s Warriors Jam show is like watching the future of British music unfold in real time. It’s a vibrant, organic exchange of ideas between musicians and audience – new sounds are invented on the spot, while classics like Everybody Loves the Sunshine are joyfully reimagined. It’s a space where young artists feel safe to experiment, take risks and shine, with pianist, conductor, and host Emily masterfully guiding the flow, ensuring every soloist gets their moment.

The talent, connection, and pure joy on stage pricked tears in my eyes. As a pioneering organisation in jazz education and artist development, Tomorrow’s Warriors continues to nurture diverse UK talent. The future of jazz is in very good hands.”
