Tomorrow’s Warriors partners with academia

Tomorrow’s Warriors supports next generation talent and the future sustainability of the UK jazz ecosystem, so we are delighted to be teaming up with Caspar Melville, Co-Chair and Senior Lecture in Global Creative and Cultural Industries at the Centre for Creative Industries, Media and Screen Studies at SOAS (University of London) for an insightful panel discussion, UK Jazz Unlocked on Tuesday 30 March, 5pm-7pm, as part of Mapping UK Jazz.

No gigs, no jams, no tours, no band practice, no income? The pandemic and the lockdown have been a challenge for everyone, but especially for live music, and arguably the jazz scene most of all.

How has UK Jazz fared under lockdown, what have musicians, promoters, venues and funders been doing, how have digital gigs worked, and what will (and should) the jazz economy look like when jazz gets unlocked?

All this and more will be unpacked as our CEO Janine Irons MBE joins fellow industry professionals from Jazz Re:freshed, Steamdown, Jazz North and The Music Managers Forum for this digital panel discussion.
