Tomorrow’s Warriors has been nominated for the 2019 Jazz FM Award for Innovation! Plus our brilliant alumni feature in all bar one of the jazz awards (International Jazz Act) and all bar three of the total awards (including Soul Act and Blues Act). In fact, 17 (43%) of the total 39 award nominations are for Warriors, or bands made up of largely of Warriors! If you remove the international acts, this increases to a whopping 63%! WOW! That’s some achievement, huh! We’re so incredibly proud of all of them!
Massive congrats to our fellow Innovation nominees, our good friends at Steam Down led by alumnus and former TW Music Leader, Wayne Francis and to vibraphonist, Orphy Robinson. Massive congrats to all of the other nominees, and especially to our alumni. Whatever happens on 30 April when the Awards ceremony takes place, you can rest assured Tomorrow’s Warriors will be well-represented in the room!
Here’s the full list of nominations. Three of the awards are decided by public vote – see link at the bottom. Don’t forget to vote!
